More Government = Higher Prices

More Government = Higher Prices

March 12, 2020

If you haven’t seen it, I wanted to share this really interesting new graph from Common Sense Policy Roundtable with you. It’s a look at how prices of goods and services have changed since the early 2000s in Colorado. And it doesn’t take long to start to see patterns in the data.

What do in-state tuition, gas, housing, health care, and electricity all have in common?? More government involvement.

We talk about this a lot — more government involvement in any sector means higher prices and lower quality. But this is a striking visual representation.
